Jon Schallert is the only professional speaker teaching businesses and communities how to turn themselves into Consumer Destinations. Jon developed his proprietary 14-step “Destination Business” process after interviewing over 10,000 independent business owners in nearly 600 cities, towns, and downtowns.
During this Covid-19 crisis, Jon is focusing on helping business owners, communities, and associations with critical business information that he delivers through virtual keynotes and workshops; live customized online webinars; community group consulting and Mastermind groups; and delivering his proprietary content via his company’s Destination University® learning network.
On this site, you can learn about his “Destination Creation Course”, an online training that teaches the foundations of a Destination Business, specifically designed for business owners. This 8-chapter course (now with a new section on “Business Strategies During the Covid-19 Crisis”), is taught both online and in communities, led by a nationwide network of Certified Facilitators who have been trained by Jon.
Jon’s Destination strategy is designed to help independent businesses and communities stand out and draw customers to them, increasing customer traffic from both local consumers and consumers from miles away. Economic development professionals have verified that when local businesses use Jon’s Destination process, a community’s tax base grows. This will be a critical need for businesses and communities now and into next year.
During this virus crisis, the company’s “Destination Business BootCamp®”, where clients spend two and one-half days in Colorado learning his proprietary Destination strategy, are currently being rescheduled.
Some of Jon’s corporate consulting clients include Kellogg’s, KitchenAid, Bank of America, Denver International Airport, Jiffy Lube, Ace Hardware, Anheuser Busch, Kichler Lighting and Hunter Douglas, to name a few. His insights are frequently seen in national publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, USA Today, and Entrepreneur Magazine.
Jon is a member of the National Speakers Association and the National Main Street Network. He has two grown children: Jenna, his daughter, is the founder of a non-profit that provides fresh eggs and meat to charitable organizations and food banks; and his son, Jason, is the President of a commercial construction company. He has been happily married to his corporate Vice President, Peg, for 37 fun-filled years.
